SSI by JP Group company HEADQUARTERS IN VIBORG, DENMARK
SSI – a truly legendary brand for Porsche enthusiasts
Porsche afficionados know SSI (stainless steel innovations) as one of the premium brands in the aftermarket. SSI, originally from California and its exhaust systems were one of the few American parts for Porsche that were – and still are! – coveted all over the world.
SSI was founded in the seventies by John Daniels in Novato, California
After decades of successfully operating SSI, he finally made the decision to retire and started looking for a suitable successor, which he found in Martin Pedersen, head of Danish automotive aftermarket and OE manufacturer JP Group. In 2012 JP Group acquired this truly iconic brand and transferred SSI’s entire facilities to Viborg, Denmark. Here production continues with the same high manufacturing standards and attention to detail that Porsche fans expect from SSI products.
Martin Pedersen has been collecting especially classic German cars since mid-1980s. It all started as part of his business purchasing the first Porsche 911 as a car for testing our manufactured heat
exchangers, heat exhausts, etc. in JP Group. Since, this first car has developed into a true passion by adding so many fantastic historical and classic cars.
All the cars are nicely organized in both private and company premises in Viborg, Denmark, but now he felt it was time to go digital and tell about the purchase of and the story behind these cars – both generally and individually. And should the worst thing happen that he sells a car, it deserves some kind of a goodbye salute.
